Whoever decides to take a PADI Rescue Diver is taking an
important step that denotes self-confidence as a diver.
The course teaches you to look beyond ourselves and worry
about the safety of our fellow dive. The words that define the experience
Rescue Diver are fun and fulfilling.
What does it take to get started?
An Advanced level certification pertaining to any association
of diving and have completed a course in first aid CPR
in the past 24 months. The minimum age is 12 years.
How long is it?
The usual duration of the course is 3 to 4 days.
The training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary,
emergency control in the field of diving. During the 4 sessions
of theory and practice in the water, learn rescue techniques underwater and surface
and self-rescue, how to treat a panicked diver, how to develop rescue plans or
how to remove the computer diving to an unconscious
diver and give artificial respiration, among many others.
What is the next step?
The Rescue Diver level certification is the prerequisite for
all PADI professionals, starting with the next course,
the Dive Master.
